The base was originally carved in turn of the century France, and most likely formed part of an architectural composition. When the lamp is illuminated, the elaborate flourishes of the tracery throw an exquisite shadow. A simple empire lampshade and metal base allow the carving to take center stage — a vintage accent re-contextualized in a stylish new formation. See less
