Buckels who was known for a realistic style that implemented exaggerated detail to create a dream-like result as if one remember being in his paintings in a dream. In this piece the central figure is actually the car, the Delage, and not the epic estate in the background. It comes beautifully framed in a substantial and scrolled gold leaf frame with multiple inner framings to accentuate the way the artist plays with light in the sky, trees and the estate.
