Baja, California landscape painting by Theron Trombeau (American, 1911-1979). Presented in a giltwood frame. Signed "Trombeau" bottom right and titled "Baja de San Carlos" also known as Puerto San Carlos of the Baja California Sur, Mexico lower left. Image size, 18"H x 24"W.
Theron Trombeau an Alamogordo, New Mexico artist once drove a Model T Ford from California to Kansas in 1924, painting along the way. Member of the Alamogordo Art Association. The Sleepy Burro School of Art was established in La Luz, New Mexico in 1955. Its owner and director was Theron Trombeau.
