Here we have a colorful, antique majolica water pitcher from Northern France. The pig pitcher, called "maitre d'hotel" (or butler), features a very proud pig (notice eye rolling) dressed as a waiter, seated on a chair, holding a bottle of wine, glass and a towel flanked over the other arm, ready to serve some wine. The jar is in excellent condition with rich colors in an aqua and mustard palette. Marked Frie Onnaing, stamped on the bottom with number 737. See less
