Elegant and sophisticated styling. This is an original 1960’s watercolor fashion evening gown design created by a future couturier from the prestigious Academia Internazionale d’Alta Mode E D’Arte De Costume in Rome. The institute is one of the most prestigious international fashion design institutes in the world, graduating designers who go on to create for the most famous haute couture fashion houses. The Academia was founded in 1951 by Toni Alba Koefie who was first to revolutionize the fashion world with utilizing mannequins in fashion designing. This became known as the Koefia technique. Patterns which were first drawn were created directly on mannequins and were soon to be used in the big French fashion houses of Chanel, Dior, and Nina Ricci. This design was created by a graduating student from the Academia. Done with hot pink and white watercolor with contrasting black accents on white artist stock color paper. The design features an assortment of detail accessories which add interest to the image. The dark hair and make-up are reminiscent of Mid-Century styling. This drawing is signed by the student fashion designer. The design is unusually large in size, 18.75 x 12.5 inches. Pristine and clean. This is a LARGE RARE original fashion design perfect for today's fashionista or collector. See less
