Two framed pre-Columbian textile fragments from Chancay culture (1000AD-1470AD) in nowadays Peru. Both panels are of a similar red background and possibly woven from camelid fibers. One features two vertical anthropomorphic feline figures, an iconic design of Chancay and neighboring Chimu cultures, likely used on the mantle border of the funeral cloth. It is presented in a thin dark wood frame. The other panel features a stylized snake design outline in contrasting color and decorated with small squares and circles in the body. It is presented in a thin gilt wood frame
Their size is 9.5" x 18.5" x 1 and 12.6" x 7.5" x 1".
