Beautiful Monterey seascape in vivid blues by California artist T. Samantha Cook (American, 20th Century). Signed and dated "T. Samantha Cook / 68" lower right corner. Titled "A Sea is Many Things" on verso. Signed and dated Aug. 21, 1968 on verso. Dedication on verso by the artist, including the passage "Splendor - Love of our Creator, a bit of sand, time, azure sky. Clouds of thought - and peace." Presented in a wood frame with linen fillet. Image size: 14"H X 17.5" W.
T. Samantha Cook is a Salinas, California artist active in the 1960's. She exhibited with the Marina Art Association in 1965, as well as at the University of California Santa Cruz in 1966 with the Santa Cruz County Art Club, which was affiliated with the California Federation of Women's Clubs.
