Extraordinary modern take on the beauty of the famous medieval tapestry, The Lady and the Unicorn. This three dimensional ceramic art tile measures 8" wide by 9" tall and is 1 5/8" deep. It is signed, C. Potter 73.
One of the most recognizable art pieces from the middle ages is considered one of the greater works of Medieval Europe. This hand-made tile is re-imagined in the manner of Lady Godiva. The exact meaning of the tapestries may be obscure, but experts believe each panel is an allegory about the six senses. In this tile the main characters are surrounded by ivy and berries on a pointillism background.
