He directed so many classic psychological thrillers including "Vertigo," "Rear Window," "Notorious," "Rebecca," "The Birds," "Dial M for Murder," and so many more. He also hosted the TV show "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" from 1955 to 1965. This prints is most likely taken for to promote aforementioned TV show. Photo taken in 1958 by Gabi Rona.

Gabi Rona began his photographic career in Hungary apprenticing under his father. His photographs appeared in Hungarian magazines prior to World War II. After being held in a labor camp during the war, he escaped and arrived in America to begin anew. His career began as a staff publicity photographer at CBS. His work has appeared on the covers of over 100 major magazines. See less
