Original engraved color map from the 1870s showing the "Circulation of Winds and the Course of Storms". Highly detailed showing the names of wind patterns throughout the world, their prevailing direction and the routes of hurricanes and typhoons. Insets provide additional information on the normal circulation of winds and seasonal trade winds.
This is an original map - not a reproduction. It is in excellent condition with no imperfections. Map is carefully packaged in an archival plastic sleeve with backing board, and shipped in a cardboard flat mailer with cardboard insert. Includes a certificate with additional information.
