19th Century walnut and marquetry pier cabinet, having a wonderful figured top above a frieze decorated with ormolu beading and … Read more 19th Century walnut and marquetry pier cabinet, having a wonderful figured top above a frieze decorated with ormolu beading and decorative floral marquetry inlay, the single arched panelled glazed door opening to reveal a green velvet lined interior with two fixed shelves, further ormolu beading around the outer edge of the glass, the front of the cabinet, including the door frame, profusely decorated with floral marquetry inlay, the columns either side having lovely quality figurative ormolu mounts, and ormolu figure heads at each side of the cabinet, raised on a shaped and inlaid plinth base.
