Wheel thrown porcelain mug and saucer embossed with sheet rock screw heads, leather punches, key cutters, alpha numeric marks from vintage machinist punches, the question mark and slash punctuation key from an old manual typewriter and spikes.

Satin glazes in white.
Embossed marks are black and red.

The artist, Laura C. Hewitt, creates pottery out of her studio in Funny River, Alaska. She's known for her one-of-a-kind pottery pieces where technology meets nature and there is creation through destruction.

4 1/4"/10.5cm diameter
3 3/8"/8.5cm tall
14oz/415ml capacity

Saucer:
5 3/4"/14.5cm diameter
3/4"/2cm tall at rim

Overall, it's a stunningly unique piece of functional art. I acquired this piece from an estate auction here in Minneapolis.
