Rare specimen on light blue paper. Original title: "la sfida in riva all'egeo". Hand signed and numbered by artist with pencil. Signed by artist in the bottom right on the plate. Edition of xv copies (viii / xv) good conditions except for a light yellowing of paper along the margins. This is one lithograph of the series "cavalli" published in rome by editor carlo bestetti for the "collezione dell'obelisco". This artwork was printed in 121 units by maestro litografo igino alessandrini, roma. Edition consists: 3 units printed on the hand-made paper of fabriano in black-white and in colors; 15 units numbered from i to xv, printed on the hand-made paper of fabriano in black-white and in colors, in the first state; 9 units for the author, editor, out of market; 94 units numbered from 1 to 94, printed on the hand-made paper of fabriano. Published in the general catalogue "g. De chirico: catalogo dell'opera grafica 1921-1969", by alfonso ciranna, edizione la medusa, roma, 1969, n. 117, pp. 137 this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
