  • "Could you tell me the Width of the table when both pieces are extended? Thanks so much!"

  • "Lisa M.: The table is probably from the late 80's early 90's and in my opinion it is a fantastic looking table. The veneer does not look cheap at all, it is smooth and seamless & the center pillar really adds to the look of quality craftsmanship. It is also quite heavy so its definitely made solid and strong. It's such an unusual table with many looks--I think you would love it in person."

  • "Thank you for that info. Glad I wasn't imagining ripples ...and glad to hear it's in good shape. Is this a new table - not vintage? Pardon my asking this (no offense intended whatsoever) but does this veneer look cheap at all? Is it smooth to the touch ? sorry - but it is hard to exactly imagine if this is great or really not great. Some times things are great in theory like much of CB2 stuff and then close up you can see it wasn't done well - seams are not matching or cheaply done... Thank you, Lisa"

  • "Lisa M.: Sorry I had to continue in new chat box! As I was saying, the "rippling" you refer to maybe the way the light is hitting the table but it is a smooth top on both pieces. There is a beautiful starburst "effect" on the veneer which is meant to replicate the look of a cross cut inlay. And lastly, the table actually sits on 4 wheels which can be removed so that the table sits flush on the ground but actually the wheels make it much easier to move around! And its still available!! Thanks Lisa!"

  • "Lisa M.: Hi Lisa! The veneer chips can definitely be repaired and yes, the nicks can be stained to matched very easily. I looked at the photos and for some reason (I think it has to do with the background of the photo being whited out not so evenly!) it does look much more "raggedy" than it actually is! In fact, the edges are really quite smooth except for the two small chips already mentioned and shown in the last pic. As for rippling in the wood, there is none!"

  • "Sarah - Hi there. Thank you for your answers. Question - could that veneer be repaired (not by you, of course) or glued down - maybe it looks more ragged in the photo...? Nicks can be stained - it's more the ripples of wood that concern me... Also - the bottom piece - does that sit on the flat, directly on the floor or is there some small something underneath? And, most importantly - is this still avail? Should have been my first question!!! Thanks, Sarah. Lisa"

    Feb. 18, 2017, 10:45 a.m.

  • "Lisa M.: Hi Lisa! It is quite an unusual table but unfortunately there aren't any tags showing a brand or where it was made. As for the edges, there are a few nicks and a little damage to the veneer on two places but other than that it is really in quite good condition. Hope this helps and thanks for your interest! -Sarah"

  • "Hi - been staring at your table...do you happen to know where it was made? Is there any production tag/label on the bottom? The edges look kind of ragged - is this correct? just need to know a bit more about this piece.. Thanks, Lisa in LA"
