Good condition included a cream colored cardboard … Read more Landscape is an Original China Ink and Watercolour realized by Edouard Dufeu (1836-1900). Good condition included a cream colored cardboard passpartout (37x58 cm). Hand-signed by the artist on the lower left corner. Edouard Dufeu coming from a family originally from Egypt , Dufeu moved to Paris in 1860 and frequented the studio of Charles Gleyre . A pupil of Antoine Vollon , he exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1865 to 1890. He taught drawing in various municipal schools in Paris and then provided drawings for various newspapers. His production alternates between landscapes and still lifes. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
