These prints come from small editions, the number of the print you receive might be different than the one shown in the photo.

My grandparents were NYC artists who summered in Provincetown, MA from the 1960s through the mid 90s. My grandpa Jerry did unique pochoir prints of Ptown scenes, beaches and boats. My grandma did some woodcut prints up until she developed a sensitivity to solvents and had to stop.

My grandpa sold a number of his prints at the Ellen Harris gallery which had been on Commercial Street until she had to close down due to health reasons.

These pochoir prints are not silk screened - they are hand brushed through templates and some of them have raised surfaces using a technique called "blind embossing".

My grandpa's career started in commercial art in a silkscreen advertising print shop called Masta Displays where he worked until the early 1940's. He was drafted into the army at the outbreak of WWII and served mostly on an airbase doing photography ID and art for his unit. Upon returning home, he went to work for JC Penney's where he designed many of their point of purchase displays, advertising materials and posters.

He studied at the Art Students League and the New School where he took classes with Will Barnet in the 1940s to early 50's, forming a lifelong friendship.
