Pair of rare original 'Cabinet Chairs' by Josef Hoffmann handmade circa 1980s by Wittmann Austria. Designed in 1903, for the Vienna home of Dr. Salzer, Josef Hoffmann's cabinet chairs are a timeless design. The rationalist cube form is made comfortable with the upholstered interior that's covered in the original blue velvet fabric. The curvilinear design of the fabric is the perfect counterpoint to the rectilinear dark mahogany frames of the chairs.
Structurally great condition. Lots of wear and tear throughout as shown in photos, frames and upholstery would benefit from restoration. Matching loveseat available as well.
