moreThis pattern, Iris and Herringbone, was produced in the late 1920s and discontinued in 1932. A 56 oz Pitcher in Clear Glass with Fluted Pedestal Base is presented with Four, Footed Tumblers in two sizes. Lovely Heritage Pattern.
The Pitcher holds 56 fluid oz. and the measurement including the handle is 9 inches.
The size of the tumblers is one Set of 2, 6 Inch High, x 2.75 Wide x 2.75 D and Set of 2, 6.75 High x 3.0 Wide x 3.0 Deep.
Lovely Heritage Pattern in clear glass with translucent pattern of herringbone and iris displays a subtle and elegant vintage charm.
Jeannette Bottle Works began operation in the late 1880s in Jeannette, Penn. In 1898 the company became Jeannette Glass Company, which produced a vast selection of handmade bottles, jars and dishware. Improvements made to the factory in the early 1900s included conversion to a pressed glass facility. This allowed the company to later produce the Depression-era kitchen glass and dinnerware for which they are best known.
Jeannette Glass Company introduced 14 Collectible Depression Glass patterns during the period from 1928-1938, among these is the Iris and Herringbone pattern.
