Fine 18th to 19th Century Pencil Drawing of Two Young Women Reading.
This is one of our favorite drawings in our collection. The artist took great care with every detail, right down to the little pussy cat in the arms of the young girl. The story must be fascinating, as both the reader, and the listener (and possibly the little cat) are lost in their imagination as the story unfolds.
There is so much going on here. Such a great drawing from an earlier time. Though undated, we believe this is circa late 18th century to early 19th century.
Original pencil on paper. Dimensions 9 1/2" x 6". The drawing is in very good condition with minimal foxing (consistent with age).
Comes unframed. The mat is included as added protection only.
