It has an iron … Read more Antique brass cast school bell, with a lovely turned wood handle and a clear, loud ring. It has an iron clapper attached with a thick hook, and the wooden handle is painted black. This is the perfect teacher's bell and a great addition to a collection. The bell is old--early to mid 20th century--but still in good condition. The wooden handle has a split in it, near the bell (see photos), though it's still very sturdy. The bell itself is in wonderful condition, with a rich patina. See less
