This RARE hallmarked and signed Grete Marks work of ceramic is an early piece from the Art deco era and has influences of Bauhaus form. She was born with a different name of Margarete Heyman in Cologne, Germany. She studied at the Bauhaus School of Arts in the 20's.
Her functional ceramic pieces are composed of simple shapes of circles and triangles. This is a rare work of hers that is collectable. Signed Germany with numbers of 369a/226 and a castle stamp with some form of initials on the right. Colors are a turquoise background with a faint light yellow line near the rim and elsewhere and royal blue with some faint black. A very special piece for sure in an amazing ceramic bowl. This will never be found again.
