This set of four Lotus Flower Celadonware bowls, in the English Jade Color - are from one of the last … Read more This set of four Lotus Flower Celadonware bowls, in the English Jade Color - are from one of the last 2 Celadon makers in the mountains of Chiang Mai Thailand.
They are made of stoneware - much heavier than ceramic. The glaze - English Jade, is more of an olive color, this is one of the two colors made in Thailand (the other being the more prevalent Celadon green). The glaze appears to be more of a wash of color with the classic crackle finish with deep coloration in the relief of the design.
The functionality of these bowls is endless, and they are food safe. From tea cups, to dipping bowls, snack, condiment, finger bowls ….. They would also look great down the center of a dining table with a fresh flower or candle in them for a great centerpiece!
Each bowl holds about a cup of liquid or 1.5 cups of dry goods.
Each bowl measures 4.5” wide, 3” opening, 2.5” base and 2.5” high. See less
