THIS is the FAMILY HEIRLOOM, that get passed down from generation to genertion!

This exceptionally, modern, yet traditional, Irish Coffee set, is made from very thin, delicate, handpainted, fine porcelain bone china and rimmed in 18K Gold.

There are no chips or cracks.

The cups have an elegant, green shamrock pattern, hand painted against a bright white porcelain background.
The gently curved, handled cups, are rimmed in 18K gold leaf.

The cups are paired with saucers, also trimmed in 18K gold leaf, and hand decorated with the same shamrocks.

The intricately, hand-painted concentric circular design to n, gives the set a very Mid-Century, Op Art modernist twist
to a centuries-old, traditional theme.

Gold leaf tends to be the most fragile and worn part of fine china. The gold trim on this set has little to no wear, which is quite remarkable for almost 70 years of age.

The set is remarkably large. I believe, it is actually a double set, which makes it suitable for large celebrations and gatherings with extended family, let alone, spare pieces, in the event of a mishap.
