Wedgwood basalt ewer "Sacred to Bacchus" after a model by John Flaxman. Bacchus sits atop a vase shaped urn holding the horns of a goat. The vase festooned with grapevine garlands and sitting atop a square plinth. Large and heavy - measures 15 1/4" tall. Marked on the base with impressed WEDGWOOD. Good condition - old staple repair to the underside of the base - does not detract. See less
