Georgian Old Sheffield silver on copper monteith with lion mask ring handles. Exceptional quality with hand seamed construction indicating early manufacture. Oval shape with reeded bands in the neoclassical taste to suggest the cooper's art. Crowned rim used originally to hold wine glass foot while glasses are chilling. Would make a nice planter, centerpiece or ice bucket. Measures 13 1/2" long over handles x 9" across x 5 5/8" tall. Good condition - some expected rosing. Pleasing old surface that would polish to bright silver if desired. See less
