Beautiful mid century landscape of a path leading through the woods by California artist Florence Belle Boosey (American, 1906-1999), c.1960. Painted with dynamic and expressive brushstrokes, this landscape captures the raw beauty of a moment in nature.
Signed "Boosey" lower right.

Board size: 20"H X 16"L.
Born in Kansas, by the early 1930s Boosey moved to southern California. For many years taught in the public schools of Huntington Beach. President Huntington Beach Art League 1967, California artists before 1940, Edan Hughes, "Artists in California, 1786-1940."
