This … Read more Here is a beautiful vintage oil on Masonite board homestead landscape painting by listed Haitian artist JOSEPH CHARLES FRUMES. This painterly piece depicts a serene scene in the mountains with a homestead , landscape of trees , lake and rolling hills visible beyond it.
The piece is signed “J. C. FRUMES” to its lower right and is mounted in a gold and beige tone wooden framed with a hanging wire to its verso.

On the back it has the name of the artist dated 1997. This is written on the back of the painting , I believe it was marked by a previous owner.

The signature of the front , if it is original from the artist , coincides with the signature of other paintings that I can see online by the artist .

Can't get much information from the artist, I saw paintings listed by this artist among $4,800 and 3,500. Please google artist name for more reference.
