The softcover Pop Art book is published by Rizzoli International Publications Inc., printed in Italy in 1993, authored by Diane Waldman, deputy director and senior curator at The Guggenheim Museum New York. It features a monograph survey of the Pop Art artworks of the artist Roy Lichtenstein.

Roy Lichtenstein ( 1923 - 1997 ) The American born Pop artist of a Jewish background, is one of the most well known and loved worldwide Contemporary artists. During the 1960's along with Andy Warhol among others, he became a leading figure in the new Pop Art Movement. His work defined the premise of Pop Art through parody. Inspired by the comic strip, Lichtenstein produced precise compositions often in a tongue in cheek manner. The artworks of Lichtenstein are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print 1st edition large format Pop Art book measures 10 1/4" W X 14" H X 1/8" D, with 24 pages, featuring 14 full page offset lithograph print illustrations. The large scale images are suitable for framing.
