Seller of Hats is an Original China Ink Drawing realized by Henry Somm (1844-1907). Good condition on a little yellowed paper (missing corner) included a cream colored passpartout (31x24.5 cm). Hand-signed by the artist on the lower right corner. François Clément Sommier, dit Henry Somm, born on February 29, 1844 in Rouen and died on March 14, 1907 in Paris, is a French painter, watercolourist, draftsman, engraver and caricaturist. He left a large number of drawings and watercolours of Parisiennes captured on the spot in the 1890s. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
