Antique oil on canvas oval portrait painting. Subject is an older woman in puritan style dress. Painting is stark and seemingly plain; but has wonderful attention to detail. Expertly executed. Comes in original simple wood frame with a natural aged patina.
This painting has been professionally restored by previous owners. There are several small areas of paint touchups, only visible under blacklight. It was also cleaned and the canvas was relined and restretched at that time. This painting will be beautiful for many years to come.
