Here’s a lovely little specimen to add to your Palekh box collection.
The whimsical hand-painted scene depicts two riders on horseback hunting some sort of small mammal. There is a gold border around the scene and a signed “C.K.” on the bottom right corner. The rectangular black lacquered box opens on hinges to reveal a stunning red lacquer inside.
