Only occasionally do you find English Staffordshire transferware in the form of an oyster plate.
Brown transfer printed floral decoration adorns this six-well oyster plate by Arthur J. Wilkinson (Lta.)
Dating to circa 1885's. The plate is marked on the back, with Marguerite across the top, then Royal Staffordshire Pottery in a banner framing a lion, and Burslem England beneath. The Marguerite pattern is floral in brown transferware.
