A circular Moorcroft tazza dish on an outswept Tudric pewter pedestal base, made in England for Liberty & Co. of … Read more A circular Moorcroft tazza dish on an outswept Tudric pewter pedestal base, made in England for Liberty & Co. of London and dating circa 1920. The art pottery dish / shallow bowl designed by William Moorcroft (British, 1872–1945) was skillfully decorated with hand-painted pansy blossoms in shades of pink and blue with green leaves on a dark blue ground. The Tudric pewter foot was likely made in the workshop of William Hair Haseler of Birmingham. The pedestal foot has a silvery hammered finish in the Arts & Crafts taste and is stamped MADE / IN / ENGLAND / TUDRIC / MOORCROFT / 01514 / MADE BY LIBERTY & CO on the base. Very good condition with some expected scratches on the base. The diminutive tazza measures 5.38 in. diameter x 2.5 in. height, the perfect size to hold jewelry on a vanity or night stand; it would also make a handsome desk accessory. See less
