An original oil on canvas painting by Fredrich (Fritz) Klaiberg, German artist 1921-1998, " Waiting for Evening Fishing - Italy", 23 3/4" x 31 3/4", scene of three fishing boats on the shore with seven people either in or along side one of the boats, other boats in the harbor with a quay and lighthouse in the distance, signed F. Klaiberg in the lower left corner front, stretcher bar bears the label of Galerie Otto, Wien as does the original frame from Galerie Otto. The painting has been cleaned and varnished with museum grade a UV protection gloss varnish. Ca number 3888, CA purchased from a German auction house May 2022.
Galerie Otto is a fine art gallery in Vienna, Austria dating from before World War II, they had and have an excellent reputation in the fine art trade.
