This limited edition photographic print is framed in a beautiful Italian moulding that enhances the overall aesthetic and high gloss this image has. It is complicated how Pomplun makes these pieces but I will try and explain the best I can. Pomplun who also goes by "Artist" in Germany uses a mixture of oil paint, colored pencils, ink, pastels, watercolor and photography. He then manipulates the art after digitization. Each pieces is then produced in limited edition using the traditional photograph printing process with chemically sensitized paper and digital exposure. So how I like to explain it is these are made in a photo-lab in Germany using the traditional photo chemical process used in the past. These are not digital prints like the giclee prints we carry and are limited in number to 10 per size and there are 8 sizes so a total of 80 of each image are ever created. We are the American distributor for Pomplun and this image is the largest size we have. We imported all of the pieces of Michael Pomplun's Art this year and will be releasing more of his work soon. This is one of my favorites and that new Roma Moulding looks so good with it. It is archival framing with a thick single mat and acrylic. I included in the pictures a photo of Pomplun/Artist and the pamphlet I made of his history.
