A … Read more We are delighted to offer this suite of three original fully stamped Mundus Vienna Austria, bentwood high back chairs. A very good looking well made suite dating to circa 1920. They are bentwood much the same as Thonet and extremely comfortable. The are a rare shape and size, taller than a normal chair and with a higher back rest, they look to be a low bar stool to me. The seats are all original, two are the same and nicely engraved, the third has riveted holes from new, someone must have had a hot bottom! Condition wise, they have been cleaned waxed and polished from top to bottom and are in ready to go condition. Dimensions Height:- 94.5cm Width:- 33cm Depth:- 41cm Seat height:- 57cm. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
