This was my mothers, the monogram is SSN. Purchased new for an anniversary.. circa 1962..The appraiser report reads: Handsome vessel of classic urn form finished with a loop scroll handle and a stepped round foot. Mark is Sterling, eagle, R. lion rampant, X766, 4 pt. Maker Reed & Barton, Taunton, Mass. It's a lovely piece in great condition. Simple classic style works with any place setting.
