Beautiful simple and classic mid century shelving unit sourced in the czech republic. The carcass and external frame are made from oak and birch wood and it is original throughout. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the bauhaus school. A good practical piece of elegant mid century furniture. Internal dimensions: bottom cabinet 44l x 91w x 25h, shelf not adjustable. Top section the three shelves are adjustable, 26d x91w x 20cm (approximately) between the shelves with adjustable shelf pegs (three holes). The top retains the two original sliding glass doors which open and close smoothly. The internal darker cabinet wood is sapele. The bottom cabinet doors open and shut cleanly. A good practical piece of elegant mid century furniture. We sell high quality vintage and our workshop has gently restored this piece to bring out it’s original colour. When assembled the piece is very strong and stable. The piece was made with the option of being extended which is why it retains the original extension holes on the sides.
