Here is a nice Williamsburg pitcher Mini Rebecca Pitcher - vase that is a little larger than most. It stands 18.25" tall. The glaze is a beautiful with lovely multi-colored glaze in green, brown , turquoise and light pink background. Unmarked. C,1980's . Please google the name for reference.
The Williamsburg Pottery was founded by James E. Maloney in 1938.
Rebecca jugs were one of the first forms which were “just for show,” meaning that they had no day to day use. The tall, narrow shape and impractical tall looped handle of the jugs were impractical for almost any method of dipping and carrying water.
This is a Beautifully made piece of pottery made in the mid century, & will be a rare piece for your home or collection.
