Donning togas of blue and red and wearing laurel wreaths on their bald heads, Pablo Picasso and his life-long friend Manuel Pallarès sit beside one another as they smoke cigarettes and hold a horn of wine in the air. The smiles on their faces and the happiness at their time spent together reflects the seventy-year friendship between the two artists, both of whom died within one year of the other.
