Set against a deep purple background, the work featuring the red figure of Pablo Picasso's daughter, Paloma, and the blue figure of his son, Claude, sitting together while Claude sketches is a remarkable compilation of perspectives and angles. While using his own children as subjects, the artist manipulated geometric planes and shapes to allow the viewer to see the subjects through more than one angle.
