Arranged in a vase, the flowers in this Pablo Picasso print are rendered in a linear Cubist style. Shaded in deep brown with highlights of cream, the outlines of the flowers and their stems are identifiable but do not appear realistic. Instead, the artist's stylization of the floral arrangement according to the tenets of Cubism allow him to focus on multuple perspectives of the work and reduce the forms of the subjects to mere shapes and lines.
