This is a rare vintage Qualitats Erzeugnis EIGL porcelain demitasse cup and saucer made in Austria. There is an image of St. Christoph a Arlberg 1800 on the front.
St. Christoph am Arlberg is one of the highest located ski resorts of Austria and the Eastern Alps.
These cups, marked "made in Austria Qualitats-Erzeugnis EIGL Ottensheim," are often collected as they depict many tourist venues. This one is so fine and delicate with 22K gold scalloped edging around the saucer with gold leaves throughout. The small cup has the same leaves and a gold curvy handle and gold scalloped pedestal bottom, along with gold decor inside the cup. This set is adorable and would be a great addition to any “cup and saucer” collection.
The saucer measures 4 1/2" in diameter and 1/2" tall
The cup measures 3" in diameter and 1 3/4" tall
