Up for sale is an unusual and heavily cast antique Chinese Ming-style gilt bronze tripod incense burner. It features handles and a top with a Foo Dog (Buddhist lion). It is finely decorated with stylized lotus motifs and a Xuande mark on the base from the late 19th/early 20th century. The burner is in overall very good condition with some gilt loss and age-consistent patina.
It comes together with a restored 19th-century blue and white tea cup.
The piece is from a private New York City collection, and was originally purchased in early 70s.
