Vintage Large Punch Bowl / Glühwein Mulled Wine Pot / Tureen with Cups * Whimsical Gnomes & Dragons
What an amazing piece! Gorgeous pale, lavender / pink tureen with very ornate, embossed white design of florals, dramatic winged dragon handles, festive gnomes surrounding the same tiny tureen in a vineyard scene. Base and lid are heavily decorated with flourishes, florals and complete with a happy kitty with a fish at the very top. What a statement this makes! An amazing centerpiece for any table or festive event, even when not being used for serving. Each of the six cups are made in the traditional round style (great for holding the fruits and spices) and each feature the same tiny tureen with two gnomes amidst grapevines.
Glühwein is Germany's favorite Christmas drink - As early as 1429 mulled wine was made in Rome. Many variations were made to brighten the dark and chilly winters from Nordic countries to Christmas in Victorian England. A red wine is heated with the spices of the season including citrus, cinnamon, star anise, cloves and vanilla. I can almost smell it!

Excellent Vintage Condition - The inside of the cups and bowl are just slightly darker than the outside white decorative pattern. Three cups have very small chips to the glazing on the outer rim. The bowl has a small chip and small hairline crack at the rim. No crazing or repairs.
