Lovely small-scale landscape of Charleston, South Carolina by listed California artist Virginia Sevier Rogers (American, 1917-2015). Titled "St. Michels from Tradd St. Charleston S.C." lower left. Unsigned. From a collection of the artist's work. Unframed. Board size: 12"H x 15"W.
Rogers was born in Fort Collins, Colorado. She studied with Hugh Breckenridge at the PAFA in 1934, earned a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina, and an M.A. at UC Berkeley. In 1971, she moved to the Monterey Peninsula. Member Society of Western Artists, Artists Equity.
