A small but lovely example of the blacksmith’s art. This hand-forged 19th century iron trivet from England features a flat surface to place hot pots that have come off the open fire or stove after cooking. It has two straight legs in the back and one cabriole leg in the front. Stretchers connect the legs and it forms an open surface to place another hot pot. This would have been next to the fireplace on the hearth, now could make a lovely plant stand or unexpected side table. Please view the detailed images.
