A vintage. decorative unframed oil painting of an old woman sitting on a chair. She appears Hispanic and is holding a basket of fruit. Measures 22” x 28”. Good condition no damage. Signed at lower right. This was purchased directly from the artist’s estate and includes a signed poster of her last exhibition
Catalina Garate studied in Mexico and California. She was also an anthropologist and conducted studies at the National School of Anthropology. She has exhibited in San Jose, Fresno, Austin, McAllen, Corpus Christi and El Paso.
