This antique table from France … Read more A French Neoclassical console table with its original marble top from the early 19th century. This antique table from France retains its original marble top, with a shorter straight mid section at front, which flows nicely to curvy sides, and joins at a wider straight backside (allowing the piece to rest comfortably against the wall). The marble top is rests atop the wood base which has been hand-carved in egg-n-dart, bead, and flute trimmings. The table is presented upon four rounded and flute-carved legs, which are braced with carved stretchers just above their feet. A three dimensionally carved urn adorns the underside of the table, atop stretchers at center. Note that the marble has had some prior repairs. This beautiful period Neoclassical French console table has an older painted finish with a muted taupe, gray, pale aqua, and sage accents. See less
