This antique table from France features a half-moon shaped marble top with flattened backside (so that it can rest comfortably against a wall) which rests upon an elaborately adorned wood frame with pierce-carved apron, and generous swags of garland hanging down from the skirt. The table is presented upon four rounded and flute-carved legs, with acanthus leaf wraps emphasized about their knees. Toupie-style feet with stretcher bars have a neoclassical three dimensionally-carved urn where they meet at center, with flowers and floral garlands gently cascading down each side. The marble top is primarily a salmon color which is complimented by the gilt wood (a later finish).
